Hello again! Welcome back to our forum welcome series!
In this second post, we’ll introduce the level system – a fun way to track your participation and growth in our community forum. As you engage and contribute, you’ll unlock new features and opportunities to connect, share, and make an impact.
Level 0 – New User
Your journey begins here.
At this level, you’re in explore mode. You can read public posts, browse discussions, and get a feel for how the community works.
What you can do:
- Read and browse open categories
- Get a feel for the platform and community tone
- Learn the ropes at your own pace
As soon as you start clicking around and engaging a bit more, you’ll quickly level up!
Level 1 – Basic User

- Read at least 15 posts
- Spend at least 10 minutes reading posts
What you can do now:
- Send private messages
- Upload images and attachments
- Edit wiki posts
- Flag anything that looks off
- Mute users if needed
At this level, you’re part of the conversation–and the whole forum opens up. Welcome to the crew!
Level 2 – Member
You’re not just visiting–you’re participating. You’ve shown up repeatedly, contributed to different conversations, and begun building trust in the community.
To reach this level, you need to:
- Visit on at least 15 different days (no need to be in a row)
- Give and receive at least 1 like
- Reply to 3 different topics
- View 15 topics
- Read 50 posts
- Spend 60 minutes reading
What’s unlocked now:

- Invite outside users to PMs making a group PM
- Daily like, edit, and flag limits increased by 1.5×
- Ignore other users
- Edit your posts for up to 30 days after posting
At this point, you’re a fully trusted participant. Thanks for being here regularly—we appreciate your voice!
Level 3 – Contributor
To reach this level, you need to (in the last 100 days):
- Must have visited at least 50% of days

- Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
- Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
- Must not have been suspended or silenced in the last 6 months
You can now:
- Recategorize and rename topics
- Access a secure category only visible to users at trust level 3 and higher
- Have all their links followed (we remove automatic nofollow)
- Level 3 spam flags cast on Level 0 user posts immediately hide the post
- Level 3 flags cast on Level 0 user posts in sufficient diversity will auto-silence the user and hide all their posts
- Make their own posts wiki (that is, editable by any Level 1+ users)
- Daily like, edit, and flag limits increased by 2×
This level is for those who lead by example, not by title. If that’s you—thank you. You’re helping this community thrive.
