## 🇩🇪 🇨🇭 🇦🇹 [lang:de] Am 04. März 2025 17:30 war es endlich soweit – das Gründungstreffen der deutschsprachigen Zweigstelle von Threat Modelling Connect fand statt. Zusammen mit 35 Teilnehmenden führten Hendrik, Lilith und Ron durch den Abend. Es war eine kurzweilige Runde. Anfangs wurde für alle TMC, die Idee dahinter und aktuelle Angebote im internationalen Umfeld erläutert. Auch ein Video-Gruß von @shuning , der TMC-Community Managerin, war mit dabei. Vielen Dank für die tolle Unterstützung in der Vorbereitung und das Grußwort! ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex002/uploads/threatmodelingconnect1/original/1X/e03a986ccfa4352646181534b9bb95ba7a0461c3.jpeg) Wie bei einer anschließenden Vorstellungsrunde und Mentimeter-Umfrage herauskam, kannten viele TMC tatsächlich noch nicht. Es fand eine sehr interessante Vorstellungsrunde statt. Bei der Umfrage ergab sich eine sehr diverse Gruppe von unterschiedlicher Erfahrung, verschiedenen Branchen und Hintergründen aus der privaten Wirtschaft, dem Bildungsbereich und der öffentlichen Verwaltung. Auch die ein oder anderen spannenden Hobbies kamen ins Spiel. Einige Erkenntnisse der Mentimeter-Umfrage waren: Die Teilnehmenden präferieren Treffen alle vier bis acht Wochen und eher zu spät nachmittäglichen oder abendlichen Zeiten. Die besten Tage wären dafür Dienstag, Mittwoch oder Donnerstag. Man erhofft sich gemeinsamen Erfahrungsaustausch, Networking und auch gemeinsam Systeme zu threat-modeln. Dabei wurden klassische Applikationsthemen wie B2B-Webshops, Cloud-Systeme und Micro-Services genannt, aber auch Systeme aus dem OT-Bereich, Mainframes, AI und sicherheitskritische Anbieter wie Identity Provider oder KRITIS Unternehmen. Konkrete IT-Anwendungen aus den aktuellen Nachrichten wie die elektronische Patientenakte bzw. Gesundheitskarte dürfen nicht fehlen. Das Threat-modeln da nicht aufhört und man aus anderer Situation auch Bedrohungen ableiten kann, u.a. auch auf Sicherheitsaspekte, sah man Vorschläge wie Kinobesuch oder ein Picnic-Lieferdienst. Die letzten beiden bieten gerade viele Möglichkeiten auch für Technik-Fremde einen Einstieg in die Bedrohungsanalyse zu finden. Neben den Online-(Auf-dem-Strich-) Treffen der TMC DACH Gruppe zeigten viele Teilnehmende auch Interesse sich im echten Leben zu treffen. Neben der Chance, Threat-Model-Interessierte Angesicht-zu-Angesicht in der eigenen Stadt zu treffen, ist ein größeres gemeinsames Treffen erklärtes Ziel der Organisatoren. Auf einen Veranstaltungsort konnte man sich zwar noch nicht direkt einigen, es waren aber interessante Vorschläge dabei. Zum Abschluss hin wurde nochmal auf den aktuellen TMC Hackathon hingewiesen, an dem jetzt auch ein DACH-Team mit sechs Teilnehmern beteiligt ist. Wir wünschen unserem Team viel Erfolg. Together with 35 participants, Hendrik, Lilith and Ron led through the evening. It was an entertaining round. At the beginning, TMC, the idea behind it and current offers in the international community were explained to everyone. A video greeting from @shuning , the TMC Community Manager, was also included. Many thanks for the great support in the preparation and the German greeting! A subsequent round of introductions and a Mentimeter survey revealed that many people were actually not yet familiar with TMC. A very interesting round of introductions took place. The survey revealed a very diverse group with different experience levels, varied industries and backgrounds from the private sector, the education sector and public administration. One or two exciting hobbies also came into play. Some of the findings of the Mentimeter survey were as follows: Participants prefer to meet every four to eight weeks and at late afternoon or early evening times. The best days for this would be Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The hope is to share experiences, network and threat-model systems together. Classic application topics such as B2B web stores, cloud systems and micro-services were mentioned, as well as systems from the OT sector, mainframes, AI and security-critical providers such as identity providers or KRITIS companies. Specific IT applications from the latest news, such as electronic patient records and health cards, are also included. Threat modeling does not stop there and threats can also be derived from other situations, including security aspects, as seen in suggestions such as going to the cinema or a picnic delivery service. The last two in particular offer many opportunities for those unfamiliar with technology to get started with threat analysis. In addition to the online meetings of the TMC DACH group, many participants also showed interest in meeting up in real life. In addition to the opportunity to meet people interested in threat models face-to-face in their own city, a larger joint meeting is a declared goal of the organizers. Although it has not yet been possible to agree on a venue, there were some interesting suggestions. Finally, reference was made once again to the current TMC Hackathon, in which a DACH team of six participants will participate. We wish our team every success.
